Growth Habit
A seasonally dormant understory geophyte that emerges from a subterranean corm during the rainy season. It thrives in warm, humid forests with filtered light and develops a distinctive umbrella-like canopy.
Cultivation
Grow in a well-drained, organic-rich medium with consistent moisture during active growth and high atmospheric humidity. Avoid prolonged waterlogging and excessive irrigation during dormancy, as dormant corms are susceptible to rot.
